Food for People Seeking Refuge Update

In case you were wondering, our project ‘Food for People Seeking Refuge’ is still in full swing. We haven’t missed a single weekend for almost a year now. Last saturday we were able to provide a persian speciality for the first time, thanks to the support of restaurant Caspian in Zieglergasse. The people loved the food!

* * * Meet one of our volunteers: Vahid!

Vahid has been in Austria for one year and is still waiting for the approval regarding his permanent stay. In the meantime he regularly volunteers with LIFE2LIVE. “I want to help because I want to do good and I used to also live in a shelter home not too long ago!” said Vahid. He is now living with a family in Vienna and is diligently learning german.

* * * Meet our L2L team member: Nassim!

Nassim is part of our core team. Even though she works fulltime and has two children, she is very active with our food distributions. Nassim works voluntarily, “because it is important for me to contribute in helping people. It’s important to treat people the way you want to be treated. Helpfulness, generosity and empathy play an important role in this. The nice thing about L2L is the direct contact with the people you help.”

Two motivated young boys

We sponsored an A1 German course at the VHS for Reza and Hayatullah, which they have just concluded. After completing the course they sent us a letter and we are very touched by it. The appreciation of the two young boys is also directed towards our donors. Without your generosity it would not have been possible for them to attend the class. We warm-heartedly congratulate Reza and Hayatullah to the completion of the course!

LIFE2LIVE Year in Review

One year has now passed since the beginning of our engagements with asylum-seeking people in Austria. We would like to thank all those who have made it possible, with this annual retrospective video. Thanks also to the many generous Donors! We hope to continue with your support and to remain active. THANK YOU!!!

We say goodbye to one of our volunteers: Vahid!

We are very sad to say goodbye to a very dedicated young man. Vahid, who was in Austria for the last ten months, was very committed to helping others even though his own status regarding his approval to stay was unclear. Nonetheless he was always in good spirits, which was felt by his surroundings. Recently he returned to his native country and we will miss him very much. We wish him good luck and all the best for the future!
